Question: "What is Christian revival?" Answer: Revival refers to a spiritual reawakening from a state of dormancy or stagnation in the life of a believer. It encompasses the resurfacing of a love for God, an appreciation of God’s holiness, a passion for His Word and His church, a convicting awareness of personal and corporate sin, a spirit of humility, and a desire for repentance and growth. Church planting is hard, but so is church revitalization. In a plant, you get to write the rulebook. Thom Rainer wrote an excellent book with helpful, practical, and relevant content. I would highly recommend this book to any pastor that has a dream of reviving and revitalizing their church.
However, the book desperately needs a good editor. It has too many grammar errors and typos. I got the impression that the publishers rushed to print it/5(58). There is hope. God can save your church.
